I have just returned from a fascinating trip to Chicago and Dallas. It gave me the opportunity to visit 5 retirement villages of different ages; from those built in 1978 right through to the present day. The idea was to learn as much as possible from the successes and failures of their way of working.
What is clear is that the idea of living in a retirement community in America is so much more established than in the UK. Though it is true they have been there for longer, and are better understood, there is something that makes American people so much happier to accept the sort of lifestyle benefits they offer. Though there are some differences in the model they are very similar to what Audley offers in the UK and seem to provide really high quality accommodation and lifestyle to people who are looking for a better way of life in their retirement years.
I have no doubt that we will see a very considerable increase in the number of similar projects in the UK over the next few years which will, at last, give the same opportunities to those in the UK as those in the US.
The retirement communities in the Us offer great facilities and support for everyone. I believe everyone who stays in retirement communities new york really enjoy the activities there. You will be able to meet different people who you can relate to and support you.
